5 Makeup Items I can't leave home without:
1. Moisturiser
Technically this is a skincare product and not a cosmetic/makeup item. However this, to me, is the first step in achieving good skin. You can't just slap makeup on your face without a layer of protection first. Moisturiser also acts as a barrier for harmful UV rays and as the name says, keeps your skin moisturised.
I like: Olay Total Effects SPF 15 - affordable, easily obtainable at any good stores, and most importantly it works just as well as those more expensive brands.
I also use: Simple Hydrating Light Moisturiser - for those days I want something really light without SPF.
2. Concealer
I would say I have perfect skin, if not for my dark eye circles. On days (or nights) that I get enough sleep, they seem to diminish, but most times they're here and I really hate dark eye circles.
I like and only like: L'oreal Super Blendable Concealer - like the name says, it is SUPER and I repeat SUPER blendable, the one thing that is lacking in most concealers I've tried. Not even a more expensive higher-end brand can beat this one, IMO. It really blends in well with my skin, no cakiness. Best concealer ever!
3. Black eyeliner
I'm a sucker for black eyeliner, the more the merrier. I like both the liquid and pencil kinds. I don't care if it makes me look 'emo' or whatever - I just LOVE black eyeliner.
I like: any brand actually, coz I keep getting new ones to try out. Right now I am using MAC(pencil) and L'oreal (liquid).
4. Blush
I believe even the rosiest cheeks need a bit of blush. There are different colors, textures, shades and types of blush to suit every face and every occasion. You can use them to add color, mute color, contouring, or simply give your face that pretty dolled up look. I absolutely love all types of blush in pink shades.
I like: I don't know, coz I have LOADS of blush in my drawer and I use different ones everytime, just to try out. Recently I've used Dior, MAC and L'oreal. I believe I've used Maybelline, Ettusais, and Clinique too.
5. Lip balm
I hate dry lips, and lip balm helps keep my lips moisturised and soft. Lipstick can be a bit drying, and lip gloss always gets stuck on my hair(or my hair gets stuck on the gloss, whatever).
I like: currently I really like Nivea Lip Care in Pink Grapefruit - keeps my lips moistened and glossy at the same time, with a touch of light pink translucent colour.
I also use: The Body Shop lip balm in Raspberry
I don't use much foundation on my face and when I do, it's usually for my undereyes and bridge. Most times I prefer to use loose powder, and sometimes BB cream. I don't like bright blues or greens or yellows on my eyes either(I don't really fancy looking like a parrot). Dark eyes, pink cheeks and lips - that's my usual makeup look :)
